Phenomenal Women Project Invitation

This invitation was created to bring together people in the local community to celebrate the amazing works of Arts in Reach teens. In a little over a month, 15 young women created 3D self portraits based on the Portsmouth Museum of Art’s iImage: Uncommom Portrait Exhibit, wrote poems, met with professional artist and business mentors, blogged with young women in Kenya and more. So how were we to capture all of that in a 6” x 8” postcard? We used a bright, bold color palette with simple, iconic imagery to attract as many people to this event as possible and to give a nod to some of the aspects of this diverse program. Though we had a lot of fun creating this piece, it was really the girls’ stories, written words and works of art that had the most impact and that made the event a huge success!
